Public Library
Back in 2015 the Prosperity Village area was identified as needing a public regional library, marking it as “high priority”. Now, eleven years later and still no library in sight, we think this location would be a fantastic spot to propose to Charlotte Mecklenburg Libraries as a permanent spot to set roots in the area.

114 acres of planned public park space along Eastfield Road Eastfield Park is a planned 114-acre Mecklenburg County park focused on nature-based recreation, including walking and hiking trails, cycling, nature play, a dog park and other amenities. Phase 1 design was completed in early 2026, with construction expected to begin in late 2026 and continue into 2027. Learn more.

CMPD Northeast Division & Substation
A new police division is coming to the northeast Charlotte area. Charlotte City Council recently approved $3.75 million to purchase property for a new CMPD Northeast Division station at W.T. Harris Boulevard and Old Statesville Road. The new division will be created by splitting the existing North Division into Northwest and Northeast Divisions, with the goal of improving staffing and response times as the area continues to grow. Car Wash / Vacuums
While useful, stand-alone car washes are very noisy due to the use of vacuums by dozens of cars simultaneously. This would be a major noise complaint.

Donation Center / Resale Shop (NOT Goodwill!)
Specifically would love to see a sensible resale shop from nearby donations where proceeds benefit actual charities. Maybe the local churches could partner together to raise the capital for this!
